RWC / ESSENTIAL ANSWERS
Questions,
answered precisely.
The RWC 20 product intent is defined. The detailed engineering and commercial programme remain in development.
01 / PRODUCT
What is RWC 20?
RWC 20 is a concept-stage underground robotic wine cellar designed to store twenty indexed bottles and present a selected bottle upright at garden level.
Which bottles will it accommodate?
The current design basis is a standard red-wine bottle up to one litre. The final dimensional and mass envelope will be published after full-scale cassette and robotic handling tests.
How is a bottle selected?
The intended user selects an indexed bottle in the RWC app. The control system then commands the robotic transfer and dedicated presentation lift.
Is the wine climate controlled?
Active temperature and humidity management is part of the engineering direction, but final operating ranges, heat loads and energy consumption are not yet validated product specifications.
Can capacity be changed?
RWC is the brand and RWC 20 is the first twenty-bottle configuration. Larger or custom configurations may be studied separately; they are not yet announced products.
How large is the underground structure?
The visual design is deliberately compact, but final shaft diameter, depth and structural envelope remain site- and engineering-dependent. These values will follow prototype and civil-design validation.
Can it be installed in every garden?
No. Soil, groundwater, utilities, access, drainage, planning restrictions, heritage constraints and structure must be assessed for each site by qualified professionals.
How is the moving system made safe?
The concept uses guarded motion, locked access, verified states, fault responses and a dedicated service mode. Final safety functions and performance levels require formal risk assessment and validation.
When can I order it?
RWC is not yet offered as a validated production product. The private-preview list shares meaningful prototype, engineering and future-availability updates.
Where can I follow the programme?
